Experienced West Gosford Remedial Massage Therapists

Remedial massage therapy is a method of enhancing soft tissue repair, regeneration, and pain relief, by manual manipulation of the the muscles and fascia (soft tissues) of the body.

If you feel that your muscles are tense, damaged or “knotted”, then remedial massage can help restore healthy muscle function.

The techniques of Remedial Massage Therapy have been developed over thousands of years. They are the perfect complement to many other healing modalities, such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic and Physiotherapy. The manual manipulation of the muscles and fascia of the human body is believed to assist in improving blood flow, lymphatic flow, posture, reducing chronic pain and assisting in the drainage of toxins from the tissues.

Patients present for a range of reasons, including acute and chronic muscle pain, muscle tension, stress, headaches, back ache, TMJ, shoulder pain, repetitive strain injuries, and sports injuries. In addition, a modified type of massage therapy is commonly found to be beneficial during pregnancy.

Christine Towers

Remedial Massage Therapist & Student Myotherapist

Christine brings a wealth of international experience to the Central Coast, having spent a decade practising in the Tristate area and in New York City. Her journey into the healing arts began at the New York College of Health Professions in 2007 and was complemented by finishing and completing her Diploma of Therapeutic Massage in 2012 at Finger Lakes School of Massage. This unique background allows her to merge the clinical precision of Western remedial techniques with the holistic wisdom of Eastern traditions like Tui Na and Shiatsu. What truly sets Christine apart is her comprehensive approach to the human body. Rather than viewing physical limitations in a compartmentalised way, she sees the body as an interconnected, intelligent “Fascial Nervous System.” Her work is driven by a passion for helping clients navigate chronic pain by tapping into the body’s natural capacity for repair and restoration. Christine is known for her exceptional skill in treating complex neck, hip, and lower back issues, ensuring every session is purposeful, knowledgeable, and deeply attuned to the client’s needs.

Currently, Christine is further elevating her practice by completing a Myotherapy program at the Australian School of Remedial Massage. Her dedication to clinical excellence is also personal; having navigated a significant knee recovery over the last two years, she possesses a deep, firsthand empathy for the challenges of rehabilitation and the patience required for true healing.

When she isn’t in the treatment room or immersed in her studies, Christine fully embraces the relaxed Central Coast lifestyle. You’ll likely find her at the beach, practising Pilates and hot yoga, or exploring the local area on her bike. Having recently moved here permanently, she has taken up swimming, not only as a way to navigate the ocean, but as a vital part of her ongoing journey to rebuild her quad strength following a knee injury. A lover of the arts, Christine is an enthusiast of printmaking, a keen music fan, and a photographer who enjoys capturing the natural beauty of the coast. However, her absolute favourite way to spend time is hanging out with her “little bestie”, her 4.5-year-old daughter, or enjoying a quiet solo coffee date in Long Jetty.
