Dr Nicole Loveridge – Chiropractor

Meet Dr Nicole Loveridge

Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science (University of Technology, Sydney)

Master of Chiropractic (Macquarie University)

My journey to becoming a chiropractor began during an internship as part of my undergraduate studies. While I had considered careers in physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, and massage, it was witnessing the profound impact that chiropractic care had on people from all walks of life—and experiencing that care myself—that solidified my decision. The ability to make such a meaningful difference in people’s lives was a game-changer for me.

I completed my Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at UTS in 2017, followed by a Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 2020. From a young age, I was drawn to the fields of sport and health, knowing that I needed a hands-on role where I could work closely with people to enhance their wellbeing.

The longer I work in this field, the more inspired I become by the research led by chiropractors in their specialised areas of interest. My particular focus is on treating headaches, neck pain, low back pain, as well as knee and shoulder complaints. I have a special interest in sports injuries and issues related to scar tissue. Building a strong rapport with my patients is crucial to me, and I believe that patient education, combined with manual therapy and rehabilitation, leads to the best long-term outcomes. I also believe that laughter is a key component of healing, so I strive to bring a sense of fun and lightheartedness to each session.

In my spare time, I enjoy taking my dogs to the beach and training at the gym with my husband. Team sports have always been a big part of my life, starting with netball, European handball, and mixed basketball. Since moving to the Central Coast from Sydney earlier this year, I’m on the lookout for a local team to join.

A fun fact about me: I followed in the footsteps of my older brother and sister and played European Handball for NSW and Australia in both junior and open tournaments.

What to expect from a Chiropractic Treatment

Assessment of Your Problem

We will take a proper and detailed history, and listen carefully to your answers. We will get to the bottom of what happened and why.

A Clear Explanation

It is crucial for you to understand what is going on and why. We will take the time to help you understand your issues and how they can be prevented or improved.

X-Rays Only if Required

If your issues require X-Rays or an MRI, we will refer you. We will then go through the results with you and help you understand what they mean. We will show you the pictures and explain them in simple terms.

Skilled Hands On Care

You will receive hands on Chiropractic care, which may include myofascial (muscle and fascia) therapy, hands on or instrument assisted adjustments, and other therapies. We will not beat you up or perform dangerous procedures.

Homework

The best results come out of team work. There will likely be lifestyle changes, advice on footwear or posture, exercises to do at home. Don’t think we’re going to do all the work!

Prompt Referral if Required

Treatment always starts with a “Trial of Care”. If treatment doesn’t create the improvement we expect, or if we don’t think Chiropractic care will help you, we will promptly find someone who can help you, and point you in the right direction.

Dr Nicole has a special interest in treating:

  • Sports injuries and sports performance
  • Gym based injuries and rehabilitation
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain & back pain

What should I bring to my consultation?

  • We will collect a lot of information from you via a secure online form. If online forms are a bit hard for you, you can arrive 15 minutes early and provide your health information on paper.
  • If you have X-Rays or scans and you have a copy of the scans or reports, bring them. If the scans are with one of the Central Coast radiology providers, we can probably access them online (with your permission), so no need to bring films from PRP, iMed or Coast Medical Imaging.
  • Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move around in. Sometimes it is necessary to expose parts of your back, arms or legs, so please don’t forget to wear undies!
  • If you have a long list of medications (and it’s too extensive to easily type into the online form), bring them on paper. If your GP has provided you with a health summary, or any paperwork, bring that and we will scan it into your file.

Dr Nicole Loveridge is now accepting new and returning patients in our Wyong clinic.
