Why See Dan

Dan’s combined experience as a chiropractor, strength and conditioning coach, and personal trainer allows him to bridge the gap between treatment, rehabilitation, and performance. His goal is to help patients not only feel better, but move better, train smarter, and build long-term confidence in their body.

Meet Dr Dan Tomassi

MChiro, MSc, DC, PT, LRCC, CSCS, IMT, HMS
Doctor of Chiropractic | MSc Strength & Conditioning | Personal Trainer
Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach | Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Dan Tomassi is a chiropractor with a unique background across chiropractic care, strength and conditioning, personal training, and movement-based rehabilitation. His approach combines hands-on treatment, exercise science, and performance-focused care to help people move better, build strength, recover from injury, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Alongside his chiropractic qualifications, Dan holds a Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning and is accredited as both an ASCC and CSCS strength and conditioning professional. These credentials reflect advanced training in athletic development, exercise programming, injury risk reduction, performance support, and return-to-sport rehabilitation.

Dan works with patients who want more than short-term symptom relief. He focuses on understanding the underlying factors contributing to pain, reduced movement, or performance limitations, then develops practical, individualised plans that support recovery, resilience, and long-term physical wellbeing.

He has a particular interest in working with active individuals, gym-goers, athletes, and people who want to improve the way their body moves and performs. Whether someone is dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, training-related issues, or everyday musculoskeletal discomfort, Dan aims to provide clear guidance, evidence-informed care, and a pathway back to confident movement.

His consultations may include thorough assessment, chiropractic care, soft tissue techniques, movement screening, rehabilitation exercises, strength-based programming, and practical lifestyle advice. This integrated approach helps patients better understand their body, take an active role in recovery, and continue progressing beyond the treatment room.

What to expect from a Chiropractic Treatment

Assessment of Your Problem

We will take a proper and detailed history, and listen carefully to your answers. We will get to the bottom of what happened and why.

A Clear Explanation

It is crucial for you to understand what is going on and why. We will take the time to help you understand your issues and how they can be prevented or improved.

X-Rays Only if Required

If your issues require X-Rays or an MRI, we will refer you. We will then go through the results with you and help you understand what they mean. We will show you the pictures and explain them in simple terms.

Skilled Hands On Care

You will receive hands on Chiropractic care, which may include myofascial (muscle and fascia) therapy, hands on or instrument assisted adjustments, and other therapies. We will not beat you up or perform dangerous procedures.

Homework

The best results come out of team work. There will likely be lifestyle changes, advice on footwear or posture, exercises to do at home. Don’t think we’re going to do all the work!

Prompt Referral if Required

Treatment always starts with a “Trial of Care”. If treatment doesn’t create the improvement we expect, or if we don’t think Chiropractic care will help you, we will promptly find someone who can help you, and point you in the right direction.

Dr Tomassi has a special interest in treating:

  • Sports Injuries and Performance: Helping active individuals recover from injury, improve movement, and perform at their best.
  • Neck and Back Pain: Evidence-based care for acute and chronic spinal conditions.
  • Rehabilitation and Recovery: Supporting patients through injury recovery with a combination of hands-on care and targeted exercise strategies.
  • Movement and Functional Performance: Identifying movement limitations and building long-term strength, stability, and resilience.
  • Active Lifestyle Care: Helping runners, gym-goers, and recreational athletes stay active and injury-free.

What should I bring to my consultation?

  • We will collect a lot of information from you via a secure online form. If online forms are a bit hard for you, you can arrive 15 minutes early and provide your health information on paper.
  • If you have X-Rays or scans and you have a copy of the scans or reports, bring them. If the scans are with one of the Central Coast radiology providers, we can probably access them online (with your permission), so no need to bring films from PRP, iMed or Coast Medical Imaging.
  • Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move around in. Sometimes it is necessary to expose parts of your back, arms or legs, so please don’t forget to wear undies!
  • If you have a long list of medications (and it’s too extensive to easily type into the online form), bring them on paper. If your GP has provided you with a health summary, or any paperwork, bring that and we will scan it into your file.

Dr Dan Tomassi is now accepting new and returning patients in our Wyong clinic beginning 6th of July 2026.
