She holds a Bachelor of Science (Food & Nutrition and Biological Science) and a Master of Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) from the University of Wollongong.
Having always had an interest in the relationship between food, health, and wellbeing combined with a passion for helping others, Amanda chose a career in dietetics to make a positive difference in people’s lives. She spent the first 10 years of her career in Sydney, working across private practice, aged care, disability services, public health nutrition, and multidisciplinary healthcare settings, supporting clients with a wide range of nutrition and health concerns. Since returning home to the Central Coast in 2023 Amanda has continued working in the private practice setting and is excited to be supporting the health of her local community.
Amanda enjoys supporting clients with a wide range of nutrition concerns and has a particular interest in chronic disease management, including type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, and fatty liver disease. She also works closely with people seeking support with weight management, women’s health concerns, digestive health conditions, and food intolerances.
Amanda is passionate about helping people improve their health through practical, sustainable nutrition advice. She believes healthy eating shouldn’t feel restrictive or overwhelming. Instead, her focus is on creating realistic strategies that fit into everyday life, helping clients build confidence in their food choices and achieve lasting improvements in their health and wellbeing.
A bit more about Amanda Muhl
I’m passionate about helping people improve their health through practical, sustainable nutrition advice. I believe that healthy eating shouldn’t feel overwhelming or restrictive. Instead, it should fit seamlessly into your lifestyle and support the things that matter most to you.
With over 10 years of experience across private practice, medical centres, aged care, disability services, and public health nutrition, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life to help them achieve their health goals through evidence-based nutrition care.
As a mum of three young children, I understand first-hand how challenging it can be to prioritise your health while juggling work, family, and everyday life. That’s why my approach is centred around realistic strategies that work in the real world. I take the time to listen, understand your individual circumstances, and develop personalised nutrition plans that are achievable, enjoyable, and sustainable.
I have a special interest in supporting clients with weight management, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, heart health, PCOS, IBS and digestive concerns, food allergies and intolerances, kidney disease and malnutrition.
Being a Central Coast local, I’m excited to support my local community in building healthier relationships with food and creating lasting lifestyle changes. My goal is to help you feel confident in your nutrition choices and empowered to achieve better health for the long term.
